We’re currently breaking ground on a modern home in the Farm at Mills River, a new community approximately 20 minutes south of Asheville. We worked closely with Asheville based Wilson Architects to design a home that replicated a European style our client fell in love with after seeing it in a book. Our client was looking for a modern home builder in Asheville, NC with a reputation for quality. The custom home features 4 bedrooms, stone and stucco exterior, oversized 2-car garage, Lecce limestone from Italy, and custom cabinetry throughout designed by Advance Cabinetry.
We’re seeing a shift in demand from mountain Craftsman to mountain modern and modern farmhouse style homes in and around Asheville. As times change, our clients’ wants and needs change. Clients are preferring larger windows and cleaner lines that are typical of modern architectural styles and the shift seems to be here to stay (for now!). We’re seeing very unique plans with a lot of “wow” factor. We love being included in the design phase as it’s one of our favorite parts of the home building process. We are fortunate to be able to collaborate with many of the talented architects that call Western North Carolina home.
